Bear Paws Trading Post is a long time dream
for Caren Williams that is now becoming a
reality. And even though she was born and
raised in Ohio (the same state that Roy Rogers
came from) it didn't stop her from being a
"cowgirl" for as long as she can remember. She
started wearing cowgirl clothes and outfits
over 55 years ago. You might say she grew up
around "cowboy bling" and the western life.

her teenage years she showed Arabian
circuit and won a US National Top Ten
English Pleasure award at the age of 17
with her Half Arabian Mare. She went on
to be the Ohio Half Arabian Horse
Association Queen.

After high school, Caren stayed with the family
horse training business and traveled to many
states on the class A show circuit. She got to see
many interesting places and meet many
interesting people. And her love for the western
lifestyle deepened. She married, left the horse
business, raised a family and had a successful
career in the land development business, and

In 2009 she started Bear Paws Pottery and in 2010
she added her love of western antiques and antique
firearms to her shop and now is launching her
dream of a western store that has a little something
